Christie’s contemporary results in the ballpark

Christie’s post-war and contemporary day sale on July 1 in London realised a total of £9,322,275. The top lot was Suh Do-ho’s Some/One (2004) fetching £493,250 (est £200-300,000). Other works by Asian artists topping their pre-sale estimates include Kusama Yayoi’s Infinity Nets (W WHOTX) (2006) at £157,250 (est £100-150,000), Liu Ye’s Reading (2003) at £151,250 (est £30-40,000) and Yoshitomo Nara’s Q@A (1995) at £133,250 (est £40-60,000).
