Artist Morimura Yasumasa will hold an open shooting of a scene for his new film in the making, ‘Flag on the battlefield’ (provisional title). The artist is seeking an ‘audience’ for a piano concert he gives during the scene dressed as Marilyn Monroe. The film will be shown in his forthcoming solo show ‘Morimura Yasumasa: Requiem for someone’ (provisional title). The exhibition opens at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography in March 2010, thereafter touring the Toyota Municipal Museum of Art, Hiroshima City Museum of Contemporary Art, and Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art.
