New York’s Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum has announced the establishment of The First Annual Art Awards with event partner Calvin Klein Collection. Artist Rob Pruitt has conceived the event as a performance-based artwork which follows the format of a Hollywood awards ceremony. The four nominees each for ten categories – including artist, curator, exhibition, and writer of the year – have been announced. The finalists will be announced at the performance on Thursday 29 October.
