As a closing event to the MOT Annual 2010: Neo-Ornamentalism from Japanese Contemporary Art exhibition, the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo is inviting 100 members of the public to help with the removal of Yamamoto Motoi’s Labyrinth installation made of salt. The process is part what Yamamoto calls his ‘Returned to Sea Project’, in which those attending take with them a portion of the salt and return it – in their own way – to the sea. At the MOT the event will be accompanied by live music.
