The fifth in a series of symposia co-organized by the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies, University of Tokyo and the Graduate School of Film and New Media, Tokyo University of the Arts. In this round the French philosopher who represents the next generation of post-structuralism, Bernard Stiegler (Director of Institute for Research and Innovation, Centre National ), joins Fujihata Masaki (Director of the Graduate School of Film and New Media, Tokyo University of the Arts) and Ishida Hidetaka (Director of the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies, University of Tokyo) in debating the subject of new creation and critique in the age of hyper-industrialism.
