Gracing the brand-new walls of a gallery scheduled to make its debut on opening day of ShContemporary 2009 will be new works by Komura Marefumi, the young Japanese artist lauded for his bold and powerful brushwork. The show will feature eight new oil paintings – among them landscapes, which Komura has rarely addressed to date, and metamorphosing figures – plus ten or so drawings.
