The three-part series of exhibitions presenting contemporary Indian art by city that kicked off last year with the Bangalore edition, followed by Mumbai, closes with this round on New Delhi. The exhibition was organized by the director of Gallery Nature Morte and driving force in the local art scene, Peter Nagy. Where Mumbai is considered the commercial capital of India, Delhi is flavored by the historical and the political, themes often reflected in the works of its artists. This exhibition presents one of the many possible indexes through which to interpret the city. Participating artists are Anita Dube, Sheba Chhachhi, Probir Gupta, Pushpamala N., Ram Rahman, Raqs Media Collective and Dayanita Singh. Concurrent exhibitions at Krinzinger Projekte present Mithu Sen and Bharat Sikka.
