The first solo show in three years at ArataniUrano by the artist known for his subdued yet throbbing sense of color and distinctive rendition of creatures with human contours. Staged in two parts, part one features the artist’s new paintings and part two, new sculptures. Kato says he titled the show Soul Union to express formless thoughts and values shared between blood relations and races that are passed down in much the same way as genetic material.
