A solo exhibition by Wei Jia, a painter born in China in 1975. Many artists living in China where life has changed so dramatically in a short time have incorporated social and political issues into their creative practices. Wei Jia, who is highly regarded in China, has an introspective approach to his painting that sets him apart from his contemporaries. Here is an opportunity to see nine of his most recent romantic paintings that with powerful brushstrokes depict the inner world of the artist and his boyhood years.
