The Platform in KIMUSA segment of fourth staging of the annual contemporary art festival takes as its theme ‘void of memory’, exploring the relationship between art and cities under the three key ideas of ‘public’,’ ‘space’ and ‘life’. Kimusa, the old site of the Defense Security Command, is a meaningful place historically, architecturally, and culturally, and slated become home to Korea’s National Museum of Contemporary Art in 2012. Participating from Japan are Kataoka Mami (Co-curator), Che Kyongfa (Invited curator), and artists Kuribayashi Takashi, Shinoda Taro, Shimabuku, Miyanaga Aiko, Yoneda Tomoko among others..
