When, in fact, artist, Chiba “is still pretty”, “it is weird” and expresses the person images with “明 るい” and the element which is seen whether seemingly you disagree to “be gloomy” in various technique such as a picture, plastic, ceramics and continues opening up the original world. Seemingly it is weird and is pitiful and lets a beholder shock when I am good and watch even a work letting you think, “あ is pretty”.
It is said that “it is originally weird”, and Chiba is a なものはphobe. But want to miss the eyes; when “is weird”, and express it in なものを, a picture and a sculpture, the feeling that disliked seems to moderate. It will be to pose the message which “it is weird”, and is various for a suit in なものたちは, our various body senses which I converted to lovely existence in a pop by a hand of Chiba.
I thought that Chiba wanted a visitor to watch a work this time in relaxed environment and installed “a kotatsu” in the art museum mezzanine and suggested the plan that a work appreciated while sitting down there. And Middle Chiba sometimes sits down on this “kotatsu” in a session and thinks about I produce a work, and increasing exhibits. Please enjoy unique space and many to unfold at the spot of “the hideout” of the art museum called the mezzanine works.
＊Approximately 20 students attending class “museology II” by Takamatsu-shi art museum and cooperation of the Kagawa University Department of Education plan an exhibition in a class with Chiba and produce this plan and announce the result.

True (Chiba I look) still occurs in Kagawa of Chiba in 1979. I am a graduate from Osaka University of Arts for 2,002 years. I live in Kagawa and am developing production activity energetically now. For a recent main exhibition 展 (Shioe, Takamatsu-shi art museum) of 2010-11 years “strange breath”, 2011 “all Tamano and art Festa 2011” (Gallery Minato, Tamano-shi).
