In the Shioe, Takamatsu-shi art museum, I hold private exhibition “One Second 2008-2012” of photographer Yukinori Tokoro from Takamatsu-shi where the activity is appreciated at home and abroad.
The place (1961-) moved a base to Tokyo after Osaka University of Arts photograph subject graduation, and concentrated digital and analog technique; take a picture. The work colored a hyper-media magazine and a fashion magazine, photograph, an information magazine in the van of the times and gave a bright impression to us of the same period. On the other hand, I am chosen as the representative from Japan of “a world new depicter” in world photograph Exhibition “Fotokina 92” of 1992 and play an active part globally. I groped for the recurrence to own origin by photographing a town of Tokyo, Shibuya who lived so long from 2007 with monochrome and it was big and converted photograph-style.
By the now exhibition, I introduce a work photographed by technique to arrest a subject in one second when I established it from 2008 taking advantage of the emigration to the hometown of Yukinori Tokoro of 2012 for the first time in Kagawa. Not a moment, breathing of a town and the person is printed in the work that progress of the time called “One Second” which is familiar to us was cut by light and a shadow. Around Shibuya that a place was based in for a long time, I display approximately 30 points including the work by the collaboration with series “thing and Hiroko Koshino who have seemed to be true” who shut in the beauty of the woman other than the scenery photograph about cities of Paris, New York, Shanghai and Takamatsu that have begun to deal with a project to record a hometown as art.
