From the collection of Shioe, Takamatsu-shi art museum, I introduce a work of Kawashima hard him. Kawashima was born in Takamatsu-shi, Kagawa for 1,930 years. I learned art via institute of technology plane department (existing Takamatsu industrial arts Senior High School), Hitoshi Yamada picture research institute, Musashino Beaux-Arts (existing Musashino Art University), Yoyogi picture technical school while beginning to draw a picture eagerly from time for childhood, and acting as a photographer and a workman, the assistant of the picture signboard in the film theater.
I go to the United States in 1963 and continue producing New York afterward as a base of the activity. The bright work which harked back to a hieroglyph of heterogeneous Kawashima was appreciated in the United States with the trend of the Japanese world of art at the time. Including New York Museum of Modern Art, the work is stored in the many art museums in Japan.
In the Shioe art museum, I possess a lot of works of Kawashima who set up the atelier in Shioe-cho and introduce the work of the 1960-1990 generation as a collection exhibition from that.
