In March, 2016, Takamatsu City Museum of Art is reopened after repair work of approximately one year.
As for the collection of this museum, three of the “postwar Japanese contemporary art” “contemporary art after the 20th century” “art (industrial arts) of Kagawa” have been collected as a big pillar systematically.
And it may be said that it is the live art archive which the collection of Japanese outstanding Japan contemporary art should boast of in creation city Takamatsu it-like, to be in an uproar at of the art including the Setouchi international art festival quality, quantity in approximately 1,600 points of total amounts of the store work together now.
This exhibition selects approximately 110 points of works carefully from contemporary art collection of this museum which the evaluation out of the country is high in in commemoration of reopening and introduces. I am happy if you can enjoy charm of the multilayered contemporary art and an expanse of the expression through this exhibition.
