This work is a picture work drawing their life with a building and beautiful music (“Y Badan Bach” of Gruff Rhys) about a Malaysian skinhead group. I hear it with a skinhead in Malaysia and think whether there is the one that held sense of incongruity in this pair. Therefore at first I easily explain a skinhead subculture.

The skinhead is a subculture of a youth born in the U.K. of the late 1960s. It was jeans of thin Levis or, in a polo shirt of button-down shirt and Fred Perry of the Ben shaman, hung studio pre-の underwear with a suspender, and, to the hair which I cut briefly, in the step, the fashion such as boots of doctor Martin was supported in the model of this group in particular by the working class. This group was derived from preceding Mods, and the style of the emigrant from the West Indies including Jamaica was referred to for the style. At first we remembered neo-Nazi when I said a skinhead, and it was thought whether an image of the extreme right to declare immigration clampdown was strong, but, as for it, the thing which a part made the extreme right when it revived again at the after the end of 70s opened, and rather the original received influence of the negritude a lot. This was movement to say the culture of the traditional working class against a flow of the feminization of the man by rise and the hippie exercise of middle class to revive by the reaction for the change of the consciousness of rank and the gender in the 60s. They emphasized strong territorial consciousness and manliness.

This style becomes outdated once in the early 70s,; but according to the said article at the end of 70s a flat movement (particularly street flat and オイ!) I appear again from all over の. However, a political color comes to have darker color than an original, and the revival of this skinhead is divided into the right wing and a left-winger. And, as for the style of the skinhead, exercising S.H.A.R.P (Skinhead Against Racial Prejudice) adopts anti-racial discrimination not a thing seen in only neo-Nazi advocating foreign rejection again now.

Is a style to have now plural meanings in a born subculture received after any transformation in modern Malaysia across time and space by youths of this British working class? The work of Collins asks a beholder Malaysia system is Chinese, and what kind of meaning the style called the skinhead has for the Malaysian youth who is a multiracial nation constructed in an Indian system and an aborigine.

※In movie “This is England ,” I draw the figure of the skinhead group in the U.K. of the 1980s for your information. I can grasp the process that youths make turning to the right in the U.K. in confrontation with the inflow of the emigrant and increase of the unemployment rate, the town of the London suburbs.
