Postscript to Tetsuro Kano: Clear Signs, Vivid Tones [ARC]

From Hara Museum ARC, Gumma

After one extension, Tetsuro Kano’s installation, on view in the lobby of Gallery C from August 12, came an end on October 24.

Once installed, the artist returned to the museum on several occasions to fine tune the work, changing the rope that runs through the museum, the net, the hose, the fruit, and other parts, altering the mix of colors and changing the appearance of the space each time.
For a different perspective, these items could be viewed as lines and colors that had been drawn within the space of the museum.

A work left to the forces of nature in the front garden of the museum.

Grass, sorghum and other plants were germinated, nurtured and allowed to change into very different forms. Even grasshoppers stopped by for a rest within the lush growth.

With each change in scenery during the transition from summer to autumn, we hope visitors were able to enjoy anew the contemplative expression of Kano’s world.
