Tales of Art

From Hara Museum ARC (Gunma)

One of the summer exhibitions at Hara Museum ARC opened at the contemporary art galleries featuring works which carry the narrative element of art.

Here is a photographic work by Boris Mikhailov from Ukraine, in which two completely different images are overlapped each other to create a new image.

Boris Mikhailov, Yesterday’s Sandwich, 1965-81

Sophie Calle, recipient of the Hasselblad Award, the highest honor in the field of photography, provides us with a visual journey that charts the pain of and recovery from lost love by means of photographs and beautifully embroidered texts.

We hope you will visit Hara Museum ARC for these and other stories told through the medium of contemporary art.
