NEWS FROM THE HARA MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART (Tokyo)

Hara Museum in Tokyo is currently featuring the exhibition Yang Fudong: The General’s Smile until March 28 (Sun.).

Incidentally, have you seen the museum from an aerial view? You can see the unique architectural features of the museum from different angles on TV Tokyo “Sora kara nihon wo mitemiyo 2 hour special Keihin Tohoku line” (on air between 19:58 to 21:48 on Thursday, January 14).

On view until January 11 (Monday/National Holiday):

The 10th Memories of Green Bokujo Art Contest (Venue: Contemporary Art Gallery C)
*The museum will be closed from January 12 (Tues.) to March 19 (Fri.) for winter recess.

From March 20 (Sat.), following exhibitions will be on view:
Selections from the Hara Museum Collection Spring exhibition (Venue: Contemporary Art Galleries)
Celadon Vase (National Treasure) from the Hara Rokuro Collection Part I (Venue: Kankai Pavilion)

Also, ARC will be installing a work by Korean artist Lee Bul entitled A Fragmentary Anatomy of Every Setting Sun in the entrance lobby of the museum. Details will be posted at a later date.
