Report on Callin Live at Hara Museum

On February 21, 2010, a live performance by the acoustic unit Callin (Takane Yamamoto, Akihisa Yamaguchi) was held at the Hara Museum. The performance drew a full house! Apologies to those who were unable to make a reservation…

Lid by hundred candles scattered throughout the ground, the courtyard served as a fantastic backdrop to the live…

which started with an instrumental performance by Akihisa Yamaguchi (a.k.a. Akkie, composer for Callin) and guest musicians Ayako Himata and Katsuhiro Mafune, who played a song especially composed for the live at Hara.

…then the vocalist of Callin Takane Yamamoto (a.k.a. Takane-chan) appeared on stage,
welcomed by a thunder of applause.

The vibration you get from her live voice is absolutely amazing and incomparable to the sounds you get from CDs (which is nevertheless quite good).
It was very moving.

And of course, the famous “Akkie’s talk”!

The one and a half hour live ended in a flash!
Thank you to all those who came to see the live!
Thank you, Callin and Callin staff for everything.
