“Christo and Jeanne-Claude: The Floating Piers, Lake Iseo, Italy, 2014-16 and Two Works in Progress: Over The River, Project for the Arkansas River, State of Colorado and The Mastaba, Project for Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates”
This fall, in commemoration of Christo and Jeanne-Claude: The Umbrellas Japan-USA 1984-91 A Documentation Exhibition to be held at Art Tower Mito, the artist Christo will give a talk at the Hara Museum in Shinagawa. In June this year, Christo’s most recent project, The Floating Piers, was unveiled on Lake Iseo in northern Italy. Over the course of 16 days, over 1.5 million people from all over the world came to view the work. Christo will talk about this project, along with two others underway in Abu Dhabi and the United States. A reception will be held following his talk. We hope you can join us.
The lecture will be given in English with consecutive translation.
