SEIZA Week at the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art

SEIZA Week at the Hara Museum featuring Oku Shutaro’s Latest Work
The Hara Museum welcomes back Oku Shutaro, the film director and producer whose projection mapping productions BYAKUYA and SILVER SPOON delighted audiences when they were performed in 2011 inside the museum’s courtyard garden. The centerpiece of the week will be the world premier of Oku’s latest work, the movie SEIZA. Other events include the staging of Projection Mapping + Performance Vol. 3 SEIZA and a workshop. Mark your calendars for a week that should not be missed!

Movie Screening: SEIZA
October 23 (Wednesday) – 27 (Sunday), 2013 Daily at 14:00 Duration: 52 minutes
* Please note that there will be no screening on Friday, October 25.

Enveloped within glowing monochromatic shadows, the expressive movement of two world-renowned dancers, Kuroda Ikuyo and Fabien Prioville, combine with Oku Shutaro’s imagery to create a fantasy for adults. Natural light at the venue will be incorporated to create a screening environment a little different from that of a movie theater. The Japanese word “seiza” means “constellation” in English.
