There is beauty, as well as something scary in the computer animations and installations of Brooklyn-born Peter Burr who has attracted growing attention for work featured at SFMoMA, Documenta, White Chapel Gallery and other spaces. Viewers fly through dense landscapes that blink, shimmer and appear to breathe; maze-like worlds that seem never ending and forever changing, where concepts such as morality, heroes and villains do not exist. At the event, Burr will present five representative works and give a lecture and a post-screening talk.
