Take Ninagawa is pleased to announce its participation in Art Basel Hong Kong 2021, as well as the new digital initiative Art Basel Live: Hong Kong, which will run parallel to the fair.
The gallery will feature a solo presentation by Danh Vo, who will present an updated version of the installation he contributed to the main exhibition of the Venice Biennale in 2019.
In Vo’s practice, history meets the artist’s biography through charged symbolic objects such as cultural icons or damaged religious imagery, and via the literal and metaphorical involvement of his family members and friends. The presentation for Hong Kong draws upon an eclectic circle of collaborators, including Vo’s lover, his nephew, his father, and his former professor.
