『The Horse and Camel Stories』 flau CD 2007 2,100円 (税込) 『The Horse and Camel Stories』は、現代美術作家さわひらきの映像作品『Going Places Sitting Down』のサウンドトラックに、同じテーマからなる５つの楽曲を収録したDale Berningによる初のCD作品。 収録楽曲は実際にさわひらきが撮影に使った田舎の家とその庭にある音から構成されています。バスルームの水の音、石に滴る雨水のしずく、グラスに注がれたスパークリングウォーター、ウィンドベル、時計、レコードプレーヤー…それから同じ旋律をひたすら繰り返すオルゴールの音。日常に溢れる音の繊細な響きやテクスチャーの豊かさを再提示したこの作品は、Dale自身のいう「静けさに身をゆだねること、そして耳を傾けること」の大切さに気づかせてくれる、はかなくも美しいサウンドアートの傑作といえます。
