Araki’s new photobook 2THESKY, my Ender was released by Shinchosha at the end of 2009. The book contains 254 works from a series created in a kind of diaristic mode using photographs of the sky taken from his balcony as a canvas upon which Araki has added painting, calligraphy, and collage. Araki’s solo show of the same title of works from this series is underway at the Taka Ishii Gallery in Tokyo through 9 January. The gallery has also published a catalogue featuring other works from the series.
