Montblanc, of fountain-pen fame, is exhibiting works by seven emerging Japanese artists in its Ginza store. The retailers launched their Montblanc Young Artists Patronage in Japan program in 2007 as an initiative to support young artists. This year’s edition features works created by Ito Aya, Omori Junpei, Sudo Yukiko, Hirakawa Hiro, Miyake Saori, Mori Kenji, and Watanabe Yutaka incorporating the brand’s trademark white star as their motifs. Gallerist Koyama Tomio (Tomio Koyama Gallery) acted as an advisor to the project. Voting is also underway at the venue to nominate the popular works.
