Artist Ohtake Shinro’s I ♥ 湯 (I love YU) art installation cum public bathhouse opened July 26th on the inland sea island of Naoshima. The space features mosaics and large-scale collages of image-printed tiles at the bottom of the baths, reminiscent of the scrapbooks that form the source of the artist’s creative practice, along with a diverse array of objects situated inside and out. Designed with the architecture unit graf, known for their collaborations with artists Nara Yoshitomo, the project is sure to become a favorite of art fans and locals alike.
