Bending The Barrels 2008 Video

A solo show by the Pakistan-born artist who brought traditional Indo-Persian miniature painting into a contemporary art context. This exhibition features five works on video made between 2003 and 2008. Included are animated works such as SpiNN (2003) from her transitional period of departure from miniature paintings to video and her latest film, Bending the Barrels (2008), representing a stronger political bent.
Sikander is also showing in the now underway Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale.
