akiko x masaki hayashi live at Hara Museum

Come enjoy a summer evening of exciting jazz improvisation and poetry readings with akiko and Masaki Hayashi. As the first Japanese female singer to be signed by the renowned jazz label Verve Records, akiko made her debut on Universal Music in 2001. She has continued to make waves in the jazz scene of Japan with her unique style. Masaki Hayashi is a pianist/composer who infuses his music with a sense of nostalgia and borderless experimentation that spans many genres from classical and jazz to world music and ambient, and is greatly admired by his many collaborators, including Sadao Watanabe, Naruyoshi Kikuchi, Lisa Ono and Ringo Sheena.
