Marking the publication of his second photo-collection, mind encode, photographer Nagare Satoshi will hold a solo show of the same title in Kanazawa. Born in 1975 and based in Tokyo, Nagare captures the workings and interludes of everyday life in photographs in which loom the artist’s self-examination into views of life and death. Nagare’s first photo-collection, birds of silence, was nominated for the 2006 Kimura Ihei Award.
In parallel with his art practice, Nagare’s commissioned photographs include portraits of artists forART iT and works in the catalogue Konoike Tomoko: Inter-Traveller – People Playing with the Dead. Konoike will join Nagare for a talk on opening day of the show.
