Exhibition
An exhibition by two artists known for their unique expressive approaches involving sound opens today in Yokohama. Suzuki Akio sends visitors out into the streets of Azamino, map in hand, to find Oto-date (sound spots) he has marked with his original ears/feet pictograph, where he asks us to merely linger and listen. Yagi Lyota, in turn, presents a new installation with waves as a motif, arrived at through his own study of sound and time. Related events start with a live performance by Suzuki this evening (6:30pm), followed by an artists’ talk (Saturday 30 January, 2pm) and a series of workshops.
