The Mori Art Museum is taking bookings for the last two lectures in its ten-part series exploring relations between art and society around the three themes of art, business and culture. In lecture 9 the commissioner for the Korean pavilion at the 2005 Venice Biennale, Sunjung Kim, examines the ideal space for contemporary art in the context of the museum’s gradual replacement by biennales as the world’s premiere art forums. Lecture 10 welcomes Azuma Hiroki, the philosopher and culture critic known for his references to subculture, who will probe potential new concepts of public and democracy in today’s information-enabled environment.
