Bome, the modeler known primarily from his work on Murakami Takashi’s Project KO2 series of figure sculptures, opens his own solo show today at the Kaikai Kiki Gallery in Tokyo. Ever since his work with Murakami, the modeler who remains affiliated with the makers and retailers of garage kits and figures, Kaiyodo, has gsrnered attention for his own creative works. For this show, Bome took inspiration from and developed three-dimensional figures based on the manga artist Fujishima Kosuke’s onimusume (devil’s daughter) drawings. On Saturday 12 December, the artist will welcome a popular anime voice-actor for a talk.
