Part of Tate Britain’s Intermedia Art program focusing on works that incorporate new media, sound and performance. The Surface of Each Day is a Different Planet is a newly commissioned film installation by the Indian trio that combines historical photographs from collections in London and Delhi with video, animation, and sound. The work points to how collectivity and anonymity have been represented, and how the conditions of post-colonialism and globalization contribute to an ongoing crisis of identity and entitlement today.
