SHOP @ CAFE introduces high-quality artworks and items for sale under the catchphrase “Art in Life.” This fall, we feature new drawings by the artist Yuki Mashimo on the theme “After the Dream”. Using black ink, she creates densely detailed depictions of flowers, moths and patterns that overflow with a mysterious energy. The “dream” that Mashimo refers to is sensual desire. What she depicts is the ugly desire that stays on even upon waking from the dream, and a beauty that emanates from the same place. We invite you to enjoy Mashimo’s monochrome world of beauty where both the erotic and grotesque co-exist. The cafe also features a menu specially produced in collaboration with Yuki Mashimo.
