Workshop I: Nakadai Ikaho Factory: Mono Factory x Hara Museum ARC [ARC]

Workshop I: Nakadai Ikaho Factory: Mono Factory x Hara Museum ARC

During each day of this workshop, participates will have the opportunity to make and break things using industrial waste to discover the quirkiness of things. As the workshop leaders, we have invited Nakadai, a company based in Gunma that carries out intermediate processing and recycling of industrial waste. LAN cable connectors, printed circuit boards and discarded chandelier parts are some of the things that they have culled from the vast quantities of industrial materials discarded as waste. By working directly with these materials and breaking and disassembling old printers and PCs, participants will rediscover the origin of things and the joy of creating. There will be a talk event on August 17 (see below for details) and a shop that stocks recycled industrial materials on each day of the period.

Time: 10:00 am – 4:00 pm (last registration at 3:30 pm)
