MOT ANNUAL 2010, Part 1

Bookmark and Share

I started to install my work in Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo.

In my exhibition area, people moved a wall. It is very wide ! 18m in width, space of 12m in depth. I had a feeling of expectation and little uneasiness. I cannot complete this area by the opening day, February 6. So, I continue to install my work for about 5 days after the opening day. It is a work-in progress.

They are a curator and the staff of this museum. From the left of before, Emi Yamaguchi of the photographer, Takahiro Aoyagi and Masako Tanaka of the intern. And the back is Akio Seki of the curator.

However, it is trouble outbreak at once! The salt which I requested this time "refined salt." But "the crude salt" of the type moist as for what reached the museum. I cannot draw it in this smoothly. Therefore I had Mr. Aoyagi go around the supermarket nearby. And he was able to find the refined salt of 20 kilos that were necessary for the first day. Thank you !

Such and such! This my favorite "refined salt" of purity 99.9%. I felt relieved!
