Yokohama: Screening and toque event

A finite screening event is held for 3 days in the 1st floor of YCC underground increasingly from today as the 13th time Agency for Cultural Affairs art festival excellent prize (the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology prize) winning a prize commemoration of media of "SEKILALA". And the Chinese authors staying in Yokohama by a residence program will hold a toque event with 孫遜 on the 30th tomorrow. Time of the toque is twenty o'clock from evening eighteen o'clock. Taipei: Contemporary airy crafts from Japan @ Project Fu...


Happy new year 2010! I was in Japan in new year and went to Taipei from the beginning of January to prepare for the show of "Contemporary airy crafts from Japan". We had an opening party on 9th, and artists' talk on 10th in Taipei artists' village. It was a great time with artists, friends and audiences.
The exhibition Part 1 is on till the end of February and Part 2 starts from 13th of March. Please visit the space if you have chance to come to Taipei.

Yokohama: Sun Xun & SHIMURABROS. @ ZAIM Gallery


Sun Xun, an artist based in Beijing, are participating in CREAM and the Yokohama-Beijing Artist in Residence Program, and working on their projects at YCC while their stay in Yokohama from November 25, 2009 to February 5, 2010. We have made an opportunity to exhibit his previous works in ZAIM Gallery till 9th of December. And from 22nd to 31th of January, we are going to organize his solo show in YCC, exhibiting his new works.

ABOUT:
CODED CULTURES is a binational festival (Austria – Japan) as part of the official »Austria-Japan Year 2009«. Its aim is to explore new artistic practices and creative ability profiles within media integrated project-cultures and digital media related arts, focusing on Japan and Europe. The main focus is to investigate the exchange of creative cultures and to give artists, curators, scientists from the field of new media related fields a platform to discuss and present their works and ideas. The festival »CODED CULTURES – Exploring Creative Emergences« is addressing questions regarding the codes of creative cultures and artistic practices, which are based on new trans-disciplinary and hybrid developments of culture and art under the conditions of a contemporary digital media-age and transformations of related artistic explorations.
